# aut2fa pricing

> aut2fa charges only for verification codes that are delivered, and each channel has its own price per code. You keep a prepaid balance in Brazilian reais (BRL), and aut2fa deducts the price of the channel that delivered each code. Sends with `ak_test_` keys are free.

## How billing works

- **Balance:** Prepaid, in Brazilian reais. No subscription, no monthly fee, no post-paid invoice. Adding funds by Pix or card is coming soon.
- **Channels:** The tables above show the channels available today and the cost for each suggested quantity.
- **Delivered codes only:** You pay the price of the channel that delivered the code. If the code isn't delivered, the send is marked `failed` and your balance stays the same.
- **Test sends:** Keys that start with `ak_test_` cost nothing, and the code aut2fa generates for a test send is always `000000`.
- **Retries:** A request repeated with the same `Idempotency-Key` returns the original send and isn't charged again.

## Pricing questions

### Is there a free plan?

Yes. New accounts receive 10 free live sends through any channel. After using this allowance, add balance to keep sending. Test keys (`ak_test_`) are free and run the whole flow with the code `000000`.

### Which channels can I use today?

The tables above list the channels currently available for delivery. Each shows suggested quantities, the total cost and the price per code.

### Do I pay for codes that aren't delivered?

No. A send that no channel delivers is marked `failed` and costs nothing; your statement shows the failure.

### Can I pay in another currency?

Not today. Balance and prices are in Brazilian reais (BRL).
